La Parade est passée... by K. Brownlow
Hello everybody! I have been away on holidays. When I came back I got bogged down by proof corrections. At long last, The Parade's Gone By... is going to come out in French translation, just 43 years after its initial release. It was about time! I am very proud to have translated this superb text book. I don't know yet the exact date of release, probably at the end of October. But the book is already available to pre-order on Amazon and various other websites.
Details from the publisher's website: Here.

I'll keep you posted when I get more informations about the cover and the date of release.

Has it really been 43 years since it was published? Oh my. I'm absolutely delighted for you Christine, I know what hard work you put into that manuscript, I hope the book is a great success in France, it deserves to be, a better book on the silent cinema there is not.

Congratulations and my deepest respect, Christine...this is a tremendous undertaking! I know there will be enormous appreciation in France for this work. Have you received any feedback from Mr. Brownlow? I'm sure he must be pleased to say the least.

Dear Miss Goddess, I really hope the book will be a success with French film lovers. The silent period is very much overlooked in French film books. Mr Brownlow worked closely on this new edition which has been updated and corrected for new facts. We are now just waiting to see the printed book.

I'm so happy for you and Kevin Brownlow, Christine--but even happier for French readers! I can't believe it has never been published in movie-mad France before this. Félicitations pour votre succès!
