How is this image, Larry? Mr Lederer had that mop of hair until the day he died at age 100.

I don't recall ever seeing Dean Jagger with a full head of hair. Don't think I would have recognized him.

Hi Joe,

Poor dear Lucille... Will she ever be known as a horror of the movies????

Just as you've found lovely pictures of Minerva Urecal and Hope Emerson - could you find one of Lucille La Verne? She too deserves some glamourization....

I've actually seen Katina Paxinou and Blanche Yurka all done up on TV - back in the 50's on a Hedda Hopper special; but never poor Lucille...

It is a strange picture. I always thought that they only ever posed with Elia Kazan and then with James Dean really shy around his hero Marlon. Have you any details Joe, that's quite a picture, especially for it's day?

That's a photoshopped fake that's been circulating around the Internet for quite a while. I'm not sure where the picture of James Dean came from, but here's where the one of Brando originated:

It does tally with what I've read about James Dean and Marlon Brando, a very convincing photoshop though.

Well, thank goodness that's cleared up, although it didn't surprise me at all from what I've read about both actors through the years.

Larry, here is an image of our Lucille:
