Very tragic man, Peter was. Ousted from Frank's circle, an eventually fatal descent into booze and drugs. Not a glamorous ending for someone primed to be one of MGM's shining stars.
Was the accident early on in his career? I've never noticed his arm covered but then I've never looked for it. It's true he was tragic, much has been made that the tragedy of his life was because of what he knew about Marilyn but I wonder if too much was made about his connection to Marilyn and that it was ultimately his lifestyle that was to blame but it's hard to get to see the real Peter Lawford because of his connection to Marilyn and JFK. How nice to hear from Dolores Fuller about Peter Lawford before the Kennedys happened to him.

Thanks for the reminder about Richard Nichols, Mongo. I recently discovered that he is a retired minister in the Birmingham, Alabama area. He sounds as though he has had a pretty good life (without that notorious hangover effect from having been exploited as a child).

In that birthday photo, the gorgeous Lee Remick bears a striking resemblance to another beauty of the era: Elizabeth Montgomery.

And sadly, Alan Ladd is displaying the tired eyes and facial bloating from his alcohol abuse.

Jack Lemmon and Joe E Brown are one of the best couples in filmdom.

Western Guy, I had the exact same thought about Lee Remick and Elizabeth Montgomery.

Mongo, what an adorable "Sister Act." It is a lovely image.

Moira, thanks for the follow up on Richard Nichols.

And the last person I thought I would ever see dancing with Doris Day--Jerry Lewis!

Hi,

Wow Joe!! - - Kasey Rogers sporting Jayne Mansfield boobs in an old Lana Turner sweater!!
Worth any man getting up in the morning....

I just wonder if Mamie Van Doren beat her to the platinum hair dye and Kasey missed out on being another blonde bombshell???
