Sometimes I have to blink twice when you list the ages of people. It's like having a photo of a child who has moved away, and after 10 or 15 years the return, and you just cannot believe how old they've become. My mind knows that actors age just like I have, but for some reason my eyes and heart won't connect with my brain.

Anne, it's most likely due to the fact that we see the stars forever young on TCM.
It's nice to see that you got the Robert Mitchum avatar that you liked so much.
Mongo, nice to see a flattering close-up of Rory Calhoun for a change; I have to wonder how much retouching and/or "brushing" that headshot required. In live motion, i.e. on screen, the "done-it-all, woke-up-on-the-beach" realities of his facial surface seemed to be too much a challenge for even makeup wizards like Wally Westmore & his peers.
This is the kind of pic I'd show to the folks who keep droning on about George Clooney's "great resemblence" to Clark Gable; Georgie might have the ears to portray the King (certainly better than Brolin did), but for the rest of his map, he's more strongly a Calhoun lookalike than a cousin to Clark!
