Peter O'Toole (for 'Lawrence of Arabia')
Next: became the face and spokesperson of a medical cause
Clark Gable (and there are virtually scores of pics on the internet of him with his many dogs he had over the years)
Regarding this thought here ziggy, I was of the mind when I posted this that there had to be more than just Veidt and Dietrich who would fit this bill, and in fact and as example of this, another actor that first came to my mind here as I typed out that "next" was Martin Kosleck who you might remember would ironically pretty much become typecast as a Nazi officer in many a Hollywood film made during WWII. I also thought of Hardy Kruger here as well, and even though after just now checking out his Wiki biopage, it appears he didn't make it out to Hollywood until after the end of WWII. And so I hope you can now see how that "next" of mine wasn't meant to be "specific".ziggy6708a wrote: ↑May 3rd, 2023, 11:36 pm uuhhh....maybe Olga Tschechowa ?
( didn't someone mention if a prompt requires too much research,
it's probably "too specific" for this thread?)
Monty Woolley (in 'The Man Who Came to Dinner')
James Mason (played Emperor Franz Joseph I in 'Mayerling')
Lawrence Olivier (Richard III)
