There was a poster on TCM who wrote a long review of The Wild Bunch, enraptured by its violence. I did not have the heart (or time to waste) explaining that to focus this aspect is to miss the main themes of the film, which deal with loyalty, ethics, and redemption. While these ideals are rare and unappreciated in today's world, they are values that each of us needs and searches for--even if we don't realize it.
