Did anyone else see this on the news? It was everywhere for the last few days. I think that the people who edit the news must be getting terribly depressed and found that this little video cheered them up.

Moira, I'd been having such a bad day, now I feel terrific :D

Last week on the news there was an article about a cat who had been reunited with his owners after 5 years, he'd been discovered and his microchip had been read and his owners contacted. Nobody knew where he'd been or what he'd been doing but as soon as he saw his old owners his face lit up and he couldn't get enough of them, so pleased was he to be reunited. I wish I could find a clip for you.

I'm so glad that others found this endearing too. I can almost feel my blood pressure settling down whenever I watch it. I really would like to see the dream of derring-do that the kitten was enacting in his or her sleep.

This was a photo-shopped picture, Kingme, it made the rounds of the urban legend sites a while back.

I believe you about the photoshopping of this image, knitty, but it makes me think of some of those Maine Coon Cats--they can get to be enormous beasts--about five times bigger than a regular kitty. I wouldn't want to meet a feral one!

I once had the bright idea of adopting a feral cat, thankfully she was a tiny thing but my she was fiesty. She used the house as a hotel and did not want any contact with humans, you took your life in your hands when you took her to the vets or attempted to worm her.

For those of you who have never seen a "Simon's Cat" cartoon, you are in for something special.

That was great, Miss G. I have never seen Simon's Cat before. I love animation used that way on the web--and the sound effects were perfect.

Glad you like them! I read on the site that the author recorded his own cat, Hugh's, meows for the sound effects.

I had a bunny and kitties and the bunny always chased the kitties. They knew better than to mess with him!
