Re: *CANDIDS*
Joe, do you have recent photograph of the lovely Patricia Morison? I remember seeing one picture of her a few years ago (2005 or 2006), and she looked stunningly youthful, truly out-of-this-world.
Re: *CANDIDS*
Whenever an icon from my own past dies, I think "My lost saints." This wonderful photo made me think of these lines by Elizabeth Barrett Browning (it's from the "How Do I Love Thee?" poem):mongoII wrote:

Re: *CANDIDS*
I always found Phyllis Newman to be so attractive in such a warm, fresh way, similar in some extent to Marlo Thomas & Paula Prentiss; her eyes in particular were always so engaging, and really served to amp-up the wattage of that smile!
Re: *CANDIDS*
Newman was a significant presence in the 60s and 70s in the New York theater and talk show scenes (in the days when talk shows emanated from NYC). I always found her less mannered and show-offy than Thomas, and much less neurotic than Prentiss (whose shtick seemed to be how many nervous breakdowns a year she had).
Since she was the wife of actor/writer/lyricist Adolph Green (of Comden and Green), you just knew Newman had to be one sharp cookie.

Mongo:
Is that Renee Taylor the same Renee Taylor that was mentioned every week at the start of Jackie Gleasons' show as starring 'The Renee Taylor Dancers' ? I never heard of her other than that if it is the same lady.

Re: *CANDIDS*
Anne, that was the June Taylor dancers. Renee Taylor played the zany mother of "The Nanny" on TV.
