Marilyn looks so beautiful at the premiere of The Misfits. I've just finished reading Eve Arnold's book on Marilyn, Marilyn and Monty got on like a house on fire, he was the only member of the cast she fully trusted. They were as troubled as each other.

I guess you're right. But that ill fitting shirt, crumpled hat and the stubble worn for the role shocked me! I had noticed a long time ago that despite his tough guy image, Bogie was usually one of the best dressed stars around.

Happy Birthday to Efrem Zimbalist, Jr. - 92 - Wow!!!
His mother was a famous opera singer, Alma Gluck, in the early 1900's...
She sang at the Russian Tercentennary Celebrations in Moscow in 1913 and that's where my grandmother met her and stayed friends until Alma died in the 30's...
The Glucks are a Romanian noble family, related to the Cantacuzenes, one of whom was my grandmother's first husband....
Efrem Zimbalist, Sr. was a violin virtuoso - a brilliant musician who only died about 20 years ago.
There is also an Efrem Zimbalist III, but I don't know what he does!!!
