role in BLOOD and SAND in 1941 - that led to
SUPERSTARDOM







It was this dress that helped her to land the role of DONA SOL in BLOOD AND SAND in 1941 - the Movie right after Affectionately Yours (1941) that she and her 1st Husband Edward Judson was using her to land more movie roles and this caught the eye of Director Rouben Mamoulian and the rest was history.

After Blood and Sand came through - Rita Hayworth became a household name that everyone was talking about.
