the best part of my birthday is knowing that Cary Grant was born this day as well

I claim Liza Minelli. Not the same as Cary Grant. But a talented lady, in her own right. Right this way. Your table's waiting

Or a 6 hour layover at Union Station? (Hmmm...many opportunities.) Or 6 hours somewhere else? (Not Midway, I hope, and I assume it's not by boat.) Wherever, I shall be there to welcome you to the Capital of the Middle Coast...unless I'm in San Francisco watching Noir nightly.
It would be a six-hour layover at Union Station. ( May 1 - 3:15pm until train time @ 9:30pm )

Whoa....bringing out the big guns with Jane Greer. ( She's a great fave of mine! ) Well no worries. Rest easy. I thank you very much for the birthday wish, Moira. Love that artwork. Thank you!

We're on, if you so desire. My office is about a 1/2-block away. The Loop is a 5 minute walk; the Art Institute, Cultural Center (ex-library, but with the world's largest bit of Tiffany glass), Theatre District -- 10-15 min. walk. And the two primary Lands of the Hipsters (always fun to watch them from the underbrush) are a short L ride away.

Well, I know who my real friends are!

Thank you, dear friends, for the kind greetings.

Incidentally, Mr. Newman and I share this date with director Roger Vadim. I don't like his movies very much, but he had great taste in women.
