Mr. Van Dyke looks even more dapper than Tyrone; an impossible feat, I once presumed!

Sha-ZAMM!
Carmen Miranda, Gypsy Rose Lee & Brian Donlevy!

Meanwhile I'll be in the patio-garden out back watching the moonlight with Ronald Colman. ;)
(Has anyone here listened to Carmen Miranda's early recordings when she was a huge star in Brazil, before she went all Hollywood? Absolutely amazing... what an incredible, beautiful voice.)

One of the sweetest photos, once used it as my avatar:
Presenting Gypsy Rose Lee!
The full photo shows her sitting outside a travel trailer, nighttime, singing her child to sleep. Love it.

The striking Aurora Miranda has a featured role as a fiery Latina sensation on Broadway in Phantom Lady (1944).

So sad; six years later, Guy galloped across the screens of Saturday Matinee America to vanquish The Beast from Hollow Mountain - but Gail would fare far less well in her battle against the Beast from the 90-proof bottles . . .

What a wild colonial boy, indeed!
