This photo was taken back by the Net. You'll never know who it was.

Does anyone else notice a passing resemblance to Rose McGowan in young Elsa?

Obviously, I've got to find a new source for photos. Another one sucked back into the copyright continuum.

My Charlie Chaplin picture disappeared. Moira has kindly given the image a bit of a makeover. Here is again for you all to see. A truly distinguished and handsome man. No wonder the ladies liked him

Today's birthday. We are practically the same age (she's slightly older). We lived in the same neighborhood. We went to the same high school, and to the same local college, during the same time period. Yet I don't remember her at all. Wonder if she'd remember me from high school, since I was a big muckety-muck in "Sing." I don't think we had any classes together in college, but who knows, the place was so huge. Our high school population when we attended was 5,200! Yessir, NYC is a mighty big place. And happy birthday, Rhea.

Hi! I'm Rhea Pearlman. :D

Which is worse: That Gil Hodges also played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, or that he also played for (and managed, as I recall) the Mets?

No, no, no. To us, where the sainted Gil is concerned nothing can be wrong.

As St. Bernadette is to Lourdes, so is Gil Hodges to Brooklyn. It would take days to catalog all the Brooklyn streets, lanes, ballfields, housing developments, gyms and other sports facilities, gardens, parks, squares, bars, sports equipment stores, and whatever elses that are named for him. And a moment of silence, please when you pass the lovely, but modest, home on Bedford Avenue where the Hodges used to live. Only Jackie Robinson evinces quite the same level of reverence.

Amen.
