Mongo, the beautiful and talented birthday girl Nancy Kwan is still contributing to her craft, as an article in the LA Times showed just this week. (Kwan was always one of the exotic actresses I dreamt of being like as a kid, though I've reconciled myself to my frizzy red hair and not so lithe form since then!) She was--and is--one talented beauty.

Nancy Kwan
One of my favorite 007's Spy Spin-offs is Dean Martin's Matt Helm Series ...
She was great in the "The Wrecking Crew" ... just like our own Moira said ... she's a beauty.

Here is a nice picture of her in the "The Wrecking Crew"

When I was in San Francisco this past weekend, I walked up to Chinatown (it's not far from Union Square) and when I got to Grant Avenue, I stood there and took a nice long look, imagining Nancy Kwan and and all those wonderful Asian-American singers and dancers performing "Grant Avenue" from Flower Drum Song, a movie I have loved (and still love) since childhood.

For some reason the movie's Grant Avenue was a lot bigger than the real life one. ;)

David Carradine and Nancy Kwan worked together several times. She appeared in a Kung Fu two-parter ("The Cenotaph") and made two movies together, The McMasters and Night Children.

Before reading Scott O'Brien's Bio on Virginia Bruce I did not know that Mr. Ruben was Ms. Bruce's second husband and that they were married until his death.

As a man who often despairs (in a quiet, manly way) of how the men around me dress, I'd be satisfied if every visored ballcap worn by an adult anywhere in North America burst into flames, for starters, followed by the petrification of every pair of cargo shorts worn inappropriately . . . as an example, by guys (of all ages) who wear them to weddings and funeral services !

Thank you for pics of Bruce Bennett, Beverly Roberts and a favorite of mine, Robert Wilcox.

Also, a great picture of Marie Dressler. As mentioned before, where do you find these pictures like Dressler and Harlow?
