Hi,

Happy Birthday to Elaine Stewart.

It was while phoning her yesterday that I found out about Ruta Lee's birthday party.
Two years ago, I was supposed to attend Elaine's 80th, but my mother died at that time and I had to cancel. If I had gone, I would have met Ruta Lee, Rhonda Fleming, Gloria De Haven and Debbie Reynolds, among others. And I believe Elizabeth Taylor was invited but couldn't go.
So I really missed out.

But, I did get to LA later and met up with Lynn and her husband, the legendary Mr. Cutter!!!
Lynn and I dined at Musso & Franks - just smoozing among the hoi-polloi.... Two stars in La-la Land on a night out!!!

Wow . . . Alida Valli . .
The one indispensible ingredient to the perfect Summer weekend spent touring the northern Mediterranean coast in your convertible coupe . . . .

Great pictures of Elaine Stewart and two of my favorites, Dave O'Brien and the wonderful Barbara Pepper.

One hopes Tar Heel got no more than the scantest taste of what appears to be chocolate syrup, or hot fudge sauce, and hopefully didn't suffer from theobromine toxicity {frequently lethal to dogs of all breeds & sizes}.
Optimist that I strive to be, I also prefer to imagine that a nearby adult quickly educated Patty about chocolate's poisonous effect on dogs . . . and yet, then or now, most workaday Americans prefer to either shrug off this simple, medical fact, or end-up just convincing themselves that it can't really be true . . . :?
Ah well . . my crusade continues . . :|

"I don't like it when dogs eat my ice cream. More chocolate sauce, Tar Heel?" She smiles sweetly.

Nancy, in a word, yes - though public awareness, understandably, lagged far behind, since who, in their right mind, would feed anything as expensive as chocolate to a dog . .
Right?
And as for you, Miss Wendy Smartie-pants, weren't you playin' down near that incinerator when that nice old janitor disappeared . . . . ? :?

Well - weren't ya ?!!!

Shame on you, Wendy!!

That picture's supposed to be locked away in Bill Hopper's private security office on the CCC campus!

Don't blame me if he gives his daughter your personal home address, down there in Connecticut . . .

And I'd be careful about answering your door tonight, if I were you !!!!

She's the Bad Seed! She's supposed to do things like feed chocolate to dogs. :)

Mongo, didn't Lon Jr. play just about that exact same stripe of character first in DeMille's Northwest Mounted Police ?

BTW, I figure Kirk's reply to Chaney's offer was: "No thanks, I'll wait and make shadow animals with Rita Hayworth!"
