I'm with Gary J.! Those shades that Carole is sporting are really fashion forward. She is usually so funny, I forget how lovely her face was in repose. Loved her In Name Only (1939) that was on TCM today!

Moira, I believe that Kay Francis (a close friend of Carole's) came close to stealing "In Name Only". It was Carole who insisted on Kay for the role. Bravo!
