Interesting pick here, Kay. Ya see, I've never thought of Jack Lemmon or any character he's ever played as being "dumb". Sometimes "bewildered" perhaps, but never dumb.KayFrancis wrote: ↑December 13th, 2022, 11:39 am

And now re your actress question here: Katharine Hepburn
Dargo, you wrote an actor who was the opposite of dumb. I love Jack and think he's was such an intelligent actor and was so smart. He was a Harvard graduate in real life, a truly lovely man, best friends with 2 other men I consider among the most intelligent in Hollywood Billy Wilder and Walter Matthau.
Repeating Dargo's question
A grimaced face
Kirk Douglas
Next - one of your favotite actors known for noirs
Aaah! Ya know, I had a feeling I stated that in a way that could be misconstrued, Kay. Actually, I meant the opposite of someone "erudite" and learned" and such as Felix Bressart often played. Thanks for the clarification here.KayFrancis wrote: ↑December 13th, 2022, 3:41 pmDargo wrote: ↑December 13th, 2022, 11:52 amInteresting pick here, Kay. (...and now once again, next up: grimaced face)
In a lead role, it's Mitchum. In a supporting role, the first to come to mind was Duryea.
