So Masha. Can you name the little blue car here?

(...and which I think might actually be painted in British Racing Green, but it's kind'a hard to tell for sure here)
Sit. Breathe deeply. Compose yourself. Prepare for an unexpected shock. I am very sorry to have to tell you this but I believe that you may now be sufficiently mature to learn a rather unsavory truth: I know that it seems to fly in the face of all evidence and it might shatter your youthful illusions but the actual fact is that I do not know all that can be known. I understand that this revelation shocks you and you may need time to process that statement and you may begin to question other things which you have for all time simply accepted as the way the universe works but I am sure that you will recover in time and be a better man for it.

I have very little basis on which to form an opinion. My guess is that it is: Triumph TR3. It would not surprise me in the least if I was very completely wrong in this.
LOL

Well Masha, you apparently know a hell of a lot more than you THINK you do and/or give yourself credit for.

Uh-huh, and 'cause I'd say your guess as to the make and model of that car is...well, I'll let the following little meme here say it for me...

I thank you for provoking an unexpected laugh!

I know that my sense of humour often tags me as a twelve-year-old and my comments might often be dismissed as those of a surly goth teen but I must wonder how old you believe that I am.

That reminds me of a story when living in a triple decker house in Worcester MA:
My landlord hid a vintage Porsche (911?) in our garage so his wife wouldn't know he had bought it!
I was thrilled to see the 12 cylinder engine and I thought it was the most beautiful green color I had ever seen. He called it "Racing Green" but as I recall it was more a Depression/Seafoam Green than the darker, bottle green that I see in photos.

Is there a different shade of Racing Green in Germany?

Masha, how old do you want me to think you are?
If you laughed, you've been Memed.
I think we all need that.
Cancer is taking someone special from me.
So this thread is very helpful.
My old man called a green car a voodoo wagon.
In his day, women were not allowed on the track.
Not in the pit crew, or behind the wheel.

Hi Tiki. Back in the day there was a sort of a tradition born during the interwar years that German racing cars were painted in silver, Italian racing cars were painted in red and British racing cars were painted in dark green. And thus, this is where the term "British Racing Green" (or "BRG") originated. This practice began to fall out of favor by the 1970s.

I'll bet the guy's 911 of your story probably looked like this...

...and which for a while was a popular color applied to road-going Porsches, but I don't recall it ever being described as being their "racing colors".

Btw, there is still the following "racing color" tradition in regard to motorcycle racing machines built by the Japanese "Big Four" manufacturers:

Honda: Red
Yamaha: Yellow and Black
Kawasaki: Lime Green
Suzuki: White and Blue

This is truly the funniest meme that I have seen in a very long time! Any person who has worn one of those travesties can relate to it!
