Figured this one was fitting, considering my motorcycle crash this past Thursday.

Yeah, I'm pretty much okay, except for my very bruised ribs, my road rash and that little bone in my right hand the x-ray tech said I fractured.

(...although surprisingly and thankfully, my newer Triumph I was riding wasn't damaged all that much...one new headlight unit and a new set of handlebars is all I'll have to replace on it...already have them ordered in fact)
You idiot!
You have no right to bang yourself up! That is my job!

I hope that you at least had the sense to immediately donate blood. It was likely pure adrenalin and some unfortunate patient could have used the boost.

It is a good thing that your motorsickle survived. She should not have to suffer because her owner is in denial about his mortality. I do hope that a new part you will be installing is a governor set so that you can not go faster than twelve miles per hour.

You are in my prayers but rest assured that I will be asking that you be gifted a second brain cell. Perhaps that will allow you the sense to tinker with your toys and polish them and admire them but leave the riding to those whom we can afford to lose.

The only medical advice that I can give is that morphine is your friend. Percodan eases the mind as well as the body and you heal faster when you are relaxed.

LOL

Ya know Masha, somehow I knew I'd receive such a, let's say, "unique" get well greeting as this from you.

Thanks for the laugh!

(...and even though with these bruised up ribs of mine here, just adding to my pain)

Dargo, Just like Herbie the Love Bug, your Indian became outraged with jealousy.
I'm never surprised by Masha these days.
I too wish you all the best.
Tylenol during the day but ice at night, with liquid on top.
I hope you can blame someone else for your accident.
I suspect you are as safe as is possible on two wheels.
Not that four wheels are safe either.
Don't stop riding and don't let the tennis racket get rusty.
How does Masha know your bike is female? Where do you look?
Just like other females, you might get burned.
Get better soon! In the meanwhile, keep it on TCM.
Alicia looks different every time I see her. I consider the mystery entertaining.

That article's no big deal- many men carry their testicles inside their body, it's called "undescended" testicles.

Trash.

Glad you & bike are relatively unscathed Dargo. Whenever I see a yahoo without a helmet and/or in shorts I see a fool. Road Pizza.
Falling on pavement at any speed is brutal, why every motorcyclist needs to wear mucho protective clothing.

I broke ribs falling off a horse going zero mph - but a helmet saved my bean and leather chaps saved my legs. If I was doing any kind of speed or athletic riding, would be be wearing one of MrTiki's old Kevlar stab vests.

I’ve been injured more than once with a tiny motorcycle. My brother did too.
He lied to Mom, so she wouldn't worry, when he had an accident in SoCal with a bigger motorcycle. Said he fell down stairs.
I was thrown from a mule and hurt equally as bad as the tiny motorcycle.
We had this:

And this:

Honda is doing well with their 125 cc bikes:

Small does not mean safe. Sometimes just the opposite.
I think Dargo should have this:

Bad news is they START at $30,000.
The Can-Am starts at $10,000 but can jump up in price fast too.
Last idea, honest!
The Piaggio MP3.
But I can’t tell Dargo what to do. Don’t think Mrs. D can either.
Instead of 3 wheels, might as well go 4 wheels like a Dune Buggy.
But Dargo isn’t anywhere near the ocean.

So glad you're still killer handsome! :smiley_shining:
Whenever I'm in a crash will bring my helmet along for the Dr to see the actual area of impact. Nowadays equestrian helmets are dense foam and need replacement after any impact. No need to keep the helmet - I have a permanent lump on the top of my head from my 2015 crash.
