Time (and a Place) for Holiday Wishes

Post by klondike »

Hey Kith, Kin, Co-Members & Fellow Cinephiles:

Thought I'd kick-off a fresh thread for us upon which to post our Holiday Wishes to One Another-

While Hollis & Bogie & Mike finish spikin' the punch, I'll formally initiate the greetings - my choice, from me to all of you, comes from a delightful old Yuletide "grat" card once used by milkmen to festively "lube" their route customers, circa 1950, give or take:

"These things I wish for you - - - Work for your Hands - - - A smooth Path for your Feet - - - Sunshine through your Window each Morning - - - A Song in your Treetop at Sunset - - - Soft Rains for your Garden - - - A Coin in your Purse - - - The Hand of a Friend on your Latchstring - - - Love at your Hearthstone - - - Joy in your Heart"

I have to steal from Tiny Tim and put it as simply as he does:

"God Bless Us, Everyone".

I hope your Holidays are the best in years.

Dear Friends,
Best wishes for the Holidays, and for a happy, and healthy and peaceful New Year. We don't have robins or cardinals in my neighborhood, as in traditional Christmas cards, at this time of year. However, here are some of Brooklyn's snow loving, raucous, in-your-face parrots to add some color:

Thank you again to all of you for your support and well wishes. You helped make these last six months more bearable than I can ever say.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Holiday and Bless us everyone!

My wish for all of you:
Merry Christmas and Peace to each of you.

Our troubles may never be completely out of sight,
but I hope that this little community at least
puts them all out of mind
when we visit with one another.

Another year, another chance to wish everyone here a Merry Christmas.

My best wishes for all to have a wonderful holiday season. I wish for you to have s stress free time and some warm evenings with your family and those you love.

I hope 2009 brings happiness and lots of movies for us to chat about.

this has been a rich, full year of friendships, and so many of them started right here. May the new year bring peace and love to each of you.

Merry Christmas!

I planned on sending a Private Message to everyone, but as I made up my list of who to send to, I stopped counting at 25, and decided to do this by the bundle instead of personally - The thoughts all count!!!

Whether you have lots of gifts or only a couple under your tree, I hope they represent all the love and wishes your family has for you.

When you sit down for Christmas dinner, I hope it's with people who mean all the world to you.

I hopeyou have at least one child around to help you renew the magic and belief in the Christmas spirit.

If you have to be alone, I hope it's because you've outlived everyone else in your family but your memories are always there to warm your heart.

Eat, Drink and Be Merry because tomorrow the bills start coming in.

** ** ** MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE ** ** **
