A moody noir with wonderful cameos by Victor Franchen, Eduardo Ciannelli,and Kurt Katch, as Col. Haki of the Turkish Secret Police. Ciannelli also did yeoman work in another fav of mine " Strange Cargo ", as a religious fanatic who sees the light.

I also liked them in "The Verdict" (1946) a period peice noir/mystery. My personal favorite of their work together is "Three Strangers" (1946).

Mr Arkadin,
Funny that you should mention " Three Strangers ", with the very misused Gerldine Fizgerald, that film was one of a very few that my late wife, Martha, could watch again and again.
