I loved your write up Bryce. I have never seen this film, but you have made me want to see it. Thanks for the new film tip, and great writing as always.
"The Long Good Friday" is a terrific movie. The scene in which Hoskins/Shand gives vent to his temper in the cooler is unforgettable.
I just watched "Get Carter" on DVD the other day. It has Michael Caine as a British gangster out for revenge. Both "Get Carter" and "The Long Good Friday" make interesting watching for fans of the American gangster film.
