Anyone wants to take a shot at it?
Here's another short clue about this versatile actor ... I even worked with Gavin MacLeod on his hit series "The Love Boat"

Re: Do You Know Me?
You really stumped me on this one, Kingme. I haven't watched series tv much since about 1979, so I'm probably not going to get this. So here goes (even though I know I'm probably wrong). Could it be the late Tony Curtis?

Nope ... Moria. Here's another clues ... he was mentioned in "other" threads & and wears something "iconic" and he worked (in movies) with Jack Lemmon and James Stewart in one Hollywood disaster epic that was made in the 1970's.

My favorite television horror series ... Kolchak The Night Stalker ... I have all the 20 (on DVD's) episodes and the two movies one in Vegas and one in my hometown Seattle. Take it away ... Moria :!:
P.S. It's a shame that he didn't do a 2nd season ... too many in differences, frustrations, and bickering among writers, producers, and egos of Dan Curtis and Richard Matheson clashes way too many times - and this causes ABC to cancel the series altogether. Its sadden him ... he wanted to do a 2nd season ... but his wife Kathie Browne told him to move on. That's what he did.

Re: Do You Know Me?
Okay then! I almost said Gil Gerard, for cripes sake.
Who am I?
A promising contractee in the postwar period, I was the one who was promised the world at the "Tiffany of movie studios." My beauty, very real talent and hard work garnered me plum supporting roles in movies that became classic comedies, musicals and film noirs. Many feel that I never got my due, especially for one particular stand out part set in the then fairly recent past that I played to a fare-thee-well, overshadowing, perhaps, the ingenue. The unfulfilled promise of my career may have been the luck of the draw, or, in part--perhaps--because of my personal issues.

Re: Do You Know Me?
Here are a few more hints for anyone panting to know who I am.
After my studio days were over, I was a featured player in the early years of one of the longest running sitcoms in television history, spanning the '50s and '60s. I left the show after the first three years to "pursue other artistic opportunities," but could never return. The production company took the unprecedented step of killing off my character, mixing a bit of tragedy with the yuks!
My first popular role in film in the '40s allowed me to change genders in one comical sequence.

Re: Do You Know Me?
Well, I guess my clues are pretty boring. Here are some more...zzzzzz
My most famous role involved the early days of talkies.
My character had an alliterative name.
Two talented individuals who later became "frenemies" more than buddies directed this movie.
