Please review crime and film noir DVDs here, thanks. When reviewing, good things to keep in mind that people want to know: how good was the film quality, was the film itself any good, what were the extras and how good were they, was there a good commentary, etc. You know, stuff you would like to know if you were thinking about buying a particular DVD.

The DVD set includes " Bullets or Ballots ", starring Eddie Robinson and Joan Blondell, " A Slight Case of Murder " a comedy - gangster film also starring Eddie G.,S" San Quentin ", a prison fil starring Bogart and Pat O' Brien, " G - Men " with Cagney, as a good guy, with Robert Armstrong, Lloyd Nolan, and Margaret Lindsay " Each Dawn I Die ", another prison film with Cagney, Raft, and Jane Bryan, and " City for Conquest " (Ahem - Mr Arkadin ) with Cagney, Ann Sheridan, Anthony Quinn, and Arthur Kennedy.

All the films come with audio commentaries, " Blooper " segments, and many, many other extra's. Overall I rate the collection at 3 1/2 stars out of 4.

One of the best Noirs" TheWoman in the Widow " is coming to DVD July 10. Edward G. Robinson, Joan Bennett, and Dan Duryea are all fantastic. Joan is also especially exy. Frit Lang directs with a sure hand.
