Film Independent Spirit Awards

Good morning,
I don't know whether or not it was a rebroadcast or not, but I was wondering what the people here at SSO that saw the show thought about it. Personally, I found it quite refreshing. It was broadcast on IFC without censorship and without commercial interruption. The principal sponsors were mentioned at the end of the show so everyone watching was aware of their participation. Some of the skits were very funny as was the host (Steve Coogan) and the presenters. It was the antithesis of the Academy Awards, which always seems to run well past it's scheduled time and which is interrupted by commercials more often than the Super Bowl. I was impressed by the genuine lack of modesty which seemed to prevail over the entire broadcast. Your thoughts?
