Has anyone been seeing the promos and talk-show visits about Cheri? (Starring Michelle Pfeiffer)
Has anyone notice that poor Collette, the author, hasn't even been mentioned?
What a rip-off.

Re: Cheri
I saw "Cherie" a few weeks ago.
While it was good to see Michelle Pfeiffer again, I didn't like the movie, because I didn't like the actor who played Cherie.
The film itself seemed torn between the desire to be a Lubitischian film and the desire to be a von Stroheim film. The ending reminded me of the end of "The Age of Innocence." I guess this means that "Cherie" failed to establish an identity of its own for me.

Re: Cheri
Thanks - I'll just catch this on DVD next year.
It would be hard pressed to meet the expectations created by the book. Plus, I'm sure it's hard to take in the story without thinking of the sequel, The End of Cheri.
