During this week I've been in the mood for Rachmaninov, Geminiani, Gershwin and Ravel. Now I'm listening to Gershwin's Piano Concerto in F.

wow, Chris, I've got to get this one! Love this kind of music more than any other. (well, other than Gershwin) Are you still writing music, too?

I tend to sit and noodle more than anything lately. As I do that in church it gives me a chance to come up with new chord patterns and things that I can do there. I haven't written a "proper" song in a long time. However, now that my daughter is engaged I will have to start on a childhood request that I write one for her wedding. At least I have a couple of years to do it.
On the Fogelberg piece, this album ("No Resemblance Whatsoever") follows the feel and style of their original pairing in "Twin Sons of Different Mothers." A healthy dose of pop/jazz pieces mixed in with some vocals. If you don't have either then you should get both.

Here's another for you Nancy. Andy Williams is one of my mother's favorite singers. He was such a rich voice and can he hold a note. This is one of many songs I love that he does. It's a lovely tune. "Softly, As I Leave You."

If you liked his show check out this very long and informative interview.
