She was a pioneer in that area and very unjustly neglected ... just like the article says; most people associated Mary Pickford and Charlie Chaplin were the pioneers in the silent movie area ... wrong ... you have to include Florence Lawrence into the equation because she helps paved the way to make motion pictures a reality.
