Ruth Gordon and Geraldine Page ???
You are correct, Kay!

The movie is WHATEVER HAPPENED TO AUNT ALICE --- one of my favorites.

It's your turn to try to stump us with a spoiler.

Sorry, that's not the film. He doesn't refuse the inheritance, he gets it and then gives it away

2. The film I'm thinking about takes place many decades before Arthur

Sorry, Neither one. If we were on our old site playing trivia, guessing 2 films in 1 turn would have been a no no. Princess of Tap would have had a fit! lol

7. This film was after Anthony Adverse and before Kidnapped

This clue confuses me, because Anthony Adverse is 1936 and Kidnapped is 1938. So does your clue mean 1937? But there are about ten film/TV adaptations of Kidnapped!

I was thinking of the 1960 version of Kidnapped. Skimpole did not specify which one.

8.The film the question is about is after the 1938 version but before the 1960 version. If this helps, the film's year is after the 1938 version of Kidnapped but more than a decade before the 1960 version of Kidnapped.
