I remember a conversation we had about boxing. Fun.

Spence once misspelled my name and did so in the confusion or whatever the illness, but I liked it and thought it rather arty. I don't remember it., drat! It was ominous. I could be a character in Dracula and not a nice one. I liked it so much that I may have made a note of it in a Word file.

Spence was always difficult to understand but there is no doubt he knew movies.

RIP Mr Spence, wherever you may be.

So, no thanks . . . I would never participate in a forum run by that person.

Things are pretty tame over there, so maybe all have mellowed. I like being on both sites.

At least those who are still having trouble getting on here have a place to ask for help from those of us who have dual citizenship.

As tiresome as TB may have seemed in the past, that's not a reason to give up contact with all the other TCM alumni over there. Not to me, anyway.

After I joined yesterday I did a head count - turns out I am exactly the 100th person to be added to that membership.

I left that forum. A few people were abusive and TB cared not.
I went back to the forum after deleting my account, as a guest, and gave TB what for.
He deleted my post and banned me for the forum.
It is against the policies of that forum's owners to ban someone at the ISP level.
Nothing against the people on the forum.
Posting as a guest is allowed there and that is my issue.
I enjoy this forum and don't need to be on another TCM-ish forum.

"Abusive" can be rather dubious sometimes. Anything can be seen as "abusive" to somebody.

It was very unpleasant for me and those involved got their kicks from it.
That constitutes bullying. Not acceptable in any decent forum.
Pretty safe to say what happened over there would not have been tolerated here.
Far beyond sour grapes. TB is not following proper protocol in more than one category.
I believe TB should do what he does best (write) and let someone else take over the forum.
Under those conditions, I just might return.
For now, the ban is so severe, I have to use a VPN just to look at the site.
I don't have ad block on my tablets and that forum is like the rest of the Internet, overrun with ads.
I do wish "GalacticGrrrl" would come over here. I miss her.

Sounds like it was quite a row.

I'll watch out for such terrible doings over there.

At one point most of the creepias from the old TCM boards were participating only on TB's site, which is where I hoped they would stay exclusively.

Unfortunately one of the biggest and most socially ignorant trolls from the TCM boards recently seeped into the SSO. Thankfully that person is using the same user name they had on the TCM boards so at least we can be aware of their presence.
