Henry Fuseli's work adorns many a cover of a Gothic novel from the late 18th/early 19th century. This lovely painting was on my cover of Three Gothic Novels, which I read in college.

I love Alberto Vargas,I have many things by him.The following are 4 drawings he did for Esquire Magazine around 42 or 44 my memory is failing,they were published with the monthly issue,I think there was some problems with Esquire And Vargas and the series stopped. I have them expertly framed with museum quality framing,my avatar is also from Esquire it is Eleanor Parker shot by George Hurrell,Parker had not made an important film yet,I feel it is the best picture of her,It is also framed,I have a proof copy of the magazine picture. I do not know if they will come out as nice as the others on this thread as I picked them up online a few minutes ago : Hedy Lamarr Ava Gardner Ann Sheridan Linda Darnell.
