Hi Joe,
Love the picture of Ann Miller dancing (swerling) with Ginger Rogers....
She was a great gal and loved a good (swinging) party - - well, who doesn't???
I miss her lovely persona and her laughter!

Dear Anne, What a great idea! I'm all for it, fully.... I know there was the "Oscar Goes To" film, but a more 'in depth' one is called for, with all the major category nominees featured for each year. We so forget who was who in the runnings and it's nice to recall old faces always.... Larry

Hi Sterling,
Thanks for the pictures of Ann Warner, whom I knew moderately well; not overly well!!!
I surmise that since Jan Sterling worked at Warner Bros., she would have known Ann also - - probably much better than me!!

Hi, Today, I just heard of the death of Anita Ekberg. She died in Rome, where she lived for several decades. She was 83. Beautiful, glamourous and sultry - she was a screen siren, indeed. Who can forget her in "La Dolce Vita" or "Boccaccio 70" - statuesque!!! She was married in t...

Hi Erik, The picture with Cary Grant & Rita has Eddie Braken as the second man standing; and Jennifer Jones and Virginia Zanuck seated with Rita.... The two bottom photos of Lana Turner were for costumes to be worn for "The Rains of Ranchipur"(1955) at 20th Century Fox.... She owned th...

Beautiful pictures of Jo Van Fleet and Jan Sterling - two very fine actresses...
I'm happy that you knew Miss Sterling; I've heard that she and Ruth Roman were two of the nicest people in Hollywood - - and that they were very good friends...

Hi Erik, Corrections:- Those are not the Linkletters but the Benny's - - Jack Benny and Mary Livingston. And, that is Ed Sullivan, not Roland Culver. Steve Crane was married to Lana Turner and the father of Cheryl Crane. He went into the restaurant business later, after acting assignments dried up. ...

Hi Erik,
How ironic and charming really that Rita Hayworth and Dolores Del Rio should be photographed together and be friends when you consider that Orson Welles was a lover to both.
In fact, he threw Dolores over for Rita and married her. Dolores must have been very forgiving!!!

Hi Erik, I remember my mother having a red suit just like Ava Gardner's in that photo... I think it was in the late '40's and early '50's and was a Christian Dior style and called "Lipstick Red"....... She also had black gloves, shoes and purse - - and it was all very fashionable. This loo...
