I remember my mother having a red suit just like Ava Gardner's in that photo... I think it was in the late '40's and early '50's and was a Christian Dior style and called "Lipstick Red".......

She also had black gloves, shoes and purse - - and it was all very fashionable. This look could and would be still fashionable today...
