Hey gang, it's time to double our pleasure and double our fun here at
Dewey's Record Party. And shouldn't that really be what life is
all about? Catherine Deneuve and her real life sister, Francois Dorleac,
here playing twin sisters in Jacques Demy's fantastic French musical
THE YOUNG GIRLS OF ROCHEFORT...

Next up are the KESSLER TWINS from Germany, here to warble
that wonderful old chestnut "Quando, Quando"

And finally, for all you gum-chewing purists...

And I thought I was the only person who still loves Girl Don't Come. What a treat to see SANDIE SHAW in the later clip looking and sounding great. I saw she was wearing shoes in that performance, but couldn't tell if she was barefoot in 1965. DUSTY -- wow! I Only Want To Be With You, You Don't Have to Say You Love Me, and Son-of-a-Preacher Man are blue-eyed soul at its best. Where's MARIANNE FAITHFULL?

On a sadder note, just learned this morning that songwriter-producer CLYDE OTIS died on January 8. He was 83. His time in charge of A&R at Mercury Records resulted in some classic songs and recordings by great artists.

The Divine One, SARAH VAUGHAN's Broken-Hearted Melody.

BROOK BENTON singing It's Just a Matter of Time, co-written by OTIS and BENTON.

The incredible DINAH WASHINGTON singing the beautiful What a Diff'rence a Day Makes.

BROOK and DINAH teaming up for Baby (You've Got What It Takes), co-written by OTIS.

And again with A Rockin' Good Way (To Mess Around and Fall in Love), co-written by OTIS.

Just when the world needs more guitars sounding like bagpipes, BIG COUNTRY rides to the rescue!

It's cold, crisp and white outside at the Windy City Chapter of the RECORD PARTY, which brings to mind McCABE AND MRS. MILLER, which brings to mind LEONARD COHEN.
