Going for a bit heavier groove this Saturday, I thought I'd bring this bag of tricks down to TRP:
Here's an incredible version of Living Color's Desperate People. This was shot live at CBGBs and you really see what this band was capable of live. There's a short interview in front as well where the band members talk about the early days and each other's talents.

Fishbone: Ma & Pa
Great band with equal parts ska and metal--plus a horn section to boot! You'll have to hit link on this one to get it to play.

Praxis: Animal Behavior
A definitely weird mix featuring Bootsy Collins and Bernie Worrell from Funkadelic fame, who cross paths with robotic guitarist Buckethead. Strange, pummeling, and absoutely funky! If this is your cup of grog, check out their album Transmutation for a more serious slurp.

Rockin it hard, old-school style with a radical beat. The Record Party
urges one and all to act responsibly. Think CHANGE in 2008…
THE BEATLES "Revolution”

THUNDERCLAP NEWMAN “Something In The Air”

THE ROLLING STONES “Street Fighting Man”

THE WHO “Won’t Get Fooled Again”

Tried that power slide. Nearly broke my neck. Was Considering legal action against Dewey's Record Party. Lucky for you that you put that disclaimer in your post. Very wise.
Roxy Music - Virginia Plain
Overdressed?, not for 1972 I guess. I was still in highschool when I bought this single. Still my favorite Roxy song.

Can't embed these next two songs, so you will have to visit YouTube. Well worth your time.
Angelique Kidjo - Agolo
The beautiful Angelique in a great video.
Mary Chapin Carptenter - He Thinks He'll Keep Her
The beautiful Mary. Sound is great for a live performance.
Neil young - Powderfinger
After all these years I still don't know what the hell this song is about. Sounds like a horror story. The professionalism of these musicians is amazing. When Neil Young screws it up in the middle, the band just goes around one more time without missing a beat.

I wish somebody would tell me what Diddy Wah Diddy means - Blind Blake

I always assumed it was a 22-year-old kid being killed trying to defend his land against either a Civil War patrol boat or better yet, government revenuers. But from the man that gave us "Cowgirl in the Sand" and "T-Bone", there's no telling.Neil young - Powderfinger

Here comes a Record Party flip-flopper---and the very first 45 little
Dewey bought with his own hard-earned dough.
NERVOUS NORVUS A side: “Transfusion” (this guy’s playin’ a 78)

After thirty thousand spins I flipped it over and played the other side. I
liked it just as much and made everyone in the house hate me for
playing it over and over and over…
B side: “Dig” (actual vintage home movies of little Dewey?)

A few posts back were The BEATLES’ recordings of some U.S.
R’n’B and Rockabilly tunes. They (Lennon & McCartney)
also wrote some songs that The BEATLES didn’t release, but
other British artists did, often quite nicely.
TOMMY QUICKLY “Tip of My Tongue” (rec. 1963)

One of four Lennon-McCartney songs first released by BILLY J.
KRAMER & the DAKOTAS “Bad To Me” (rec. 1963)

The FOURMOST “I’m In Love” (rec. 1963)

The APPLEJACKS “Like Dreamers Do” (rec. 1964)

One of four Lennon-McCartney songs (actually, “McCartney”
songs; maybe it had something to do with Jane Asher being Peter
Asher’s sister) first released by PETER & GORDON “I Don’t
Want to See You Again” (rec. 1964)

Here's a song written by Sir Paul of Alimony for Mary Hopkin in 1969. She had just been signed by Apple and needed a hit. I was quite enamored with this girl back in the early 70's as a young teenager.
Mary Hopkin - Goodbye

And here's Mary again with a 'Hippy' classic from 1970. Beautiful.

Looks like our good buddy Hollis is gonna be on leave of absence
for a while. He’s a vital part of this here Record Party and he
should know that at this moment his compadres are sending out a
