My favorite Christmas recording...heck, one of my favorite recordings
of any type...and Phil Spector's greatest achievement (after "Be My Baby").

On The David Letterman Show in 1995,

Gonna Have a Merry Christmas

Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat . . . .

I have a contribution -- this is my all-time favorite seasonal recording (and one of those songs I hum and partially sing, but never quite remember the words to). Anyway, it's

Perry Como, with the London Boys' Choir, singing "Christmas Dream." (This is a traditional German song, with updated Peace and Love lyrics. Listen to Mr. C singing in German with the boys toward the end of the song. It's very catchy, and I apologize if it gets stuck in your heads, too.)

Here are some more Christmas season songs, from Martin & Lewis.

First, Dean Martin with "Let It Snow"

Next, Jerry Lewis with "I've Had a Very Merry Christmas"

Just found this, it says "direct transfer from 1942 recording." I knew it was Christmas when Dad pulled this off the shelf (we had the record shown on the link).

And Mook, we learned a brand new song in kindergarten the year before you were born......

"Life is not the way it's supposed to be.. It's the way it is..
The way we cope with it, is what makes the difference." ~ Virginia Satir
